Pressure & Soft Washing Services

What is pressure / power washing as a service? Contrary to what some may believe, pressure washing rarely uses high pressure to achieve the best results. High pressure can be damaging if not used correctly. We use educated chemical knowledge to treat and sanitize various surfaces and stains. The process of using chemicals and high-volume, low pressure water to clean is known as soft washing. Every service starts with a soft wash. This process uses highly specialized chemicals that are specific to what stains are being treated. These chemicals loosen and break up stains to visually improve and/or remove the surface stains. Things that can be treated using this process range from: general dirt, debris, grime, tire marks, biological stains such as mud, mold, algae, tar from roofs or roadways and more. After a solution is laid down we go over the area with a powerful surface cleaner, which is a large circular disk that uses water pressure and high RPMs (rotations per minute) to scrub the surface. Stains such as set-in oil, gas, and diesel require special treatments of a specific blend of detergents and degreasers. This process must be done to preform any of our additional stain removal services such as rust, efflorescence, paint, oxidation or oil, can be preformed.

Efflorescence Restoration

Efflorescence also known as Hard Water stains pictured to the left, is a heavy mineral build up. This build up is very common here in the Coachella Valley. You may have noticed in in area that your sprinklers constantly hit, near potted plants, home siding, fences, or near your pools. Efflorescence builds up wherever we find consistent water contact. Water in the Coachella Valley is very mineral rich. When mineral rich water drys on of the various surface of our properties it leaves behind small minerals that begin to calcify. The calcification of the minerals & the erosion water naturally does to surfaces bringings forth more impurities. This concentration of impurities is what we know as efflorescence. Removing it takes specific chemical knowledge and vigorous scrubbing. The results are often 90% improved or better. This service like rust removal is considered restoration & to get the best results like those pictured to left and in the gallery. The area must first be thoroughly treated with Sodium Hypochlorite or a degreaser to insure that all debris, grime, & contaminants have been removed. Doing this thorough cleaning prior to treating the Efflo allows the chemical to specifically effect the Efflo.

Oxidation Removal

Oxidation can sometimes be hard to identify and other times be a huge eyesore. Not to be confused with Efflorescence oxidation is the smokey, white powder that can cover painted surfaces. Oxidation is often found on garage doors, window frames, home siding or really any painted surface that get a lot of sunlight. Why would someone remove oxidation? It gives the house a better pop that powder substances dulls the look of painted surfaces. When water gets on your window frames from sprinklers or rain run off, it can run down the window leaving a white film. If the film it leaves is untreated it can permanently etch your windows. Additionally when getting a painted surface power-washed if the oxidation is heavy enough it can leave streaks making the paint appear uneven where oxidation hasn’t been completely removed.
